Origin Update broke Origin.exe help???
so...after updating origin to the latest, during the update installation, I get two errors while trying to update origin. 'Cannot write to file origin.exe' or something along those lines.
tried uninstalling it, rebooting, then reinstalling origin completely. that part works fine...but again, first thing it tells me when i start up origin is that there is an update. I run the update and then the same problems occur. After ignoring the errors, I can't run origin at all. Help?
found a similar thread here relating to the problem, but their suggested fix does not work either.
please help as Im really heated right now trying to get origin to work after purchasing crysis 2 due to the origin 50% off spring sale.Desktop - i7 2700k@4.7ghz, Noctua NH-D14 heatsink, HAF-X , 16gb G.Skill Sniper 1600mhz, 256 gb SSD, 7970 crossfire, win7 pro.

Re: Origin Update broke Origin.exe help???
Baka suggests trying to reinstall and making sure it's ran as administrator this time ._.
Otherwise, retry what they say and using the old installer?

Re: Origin Update broke Origin.exe help???
i swear...origin is the most useless pile of crap. after 5 hours of uninstalling and reinstalling it and other troubleshooting...it FINALLY decides to work, only to receive 'The origin network could not be reached blah blah blah' upon trying to log in. -_-
edit: and NOW it finally works after yet another 5 uninstall/reinstalls. ffs EA fix your pile of poo.Desktop - i7 2700k@4.7ghz, Noctua NH-D14 heatsink, HAF-X , 16gb G.Skill Sniper 1600mhz, 256 gb SSD, 7970 crossfire, win7 pro.

Diablo is also not pleased with this. I have over 40 games on steam and it works (near) perfectly...

Re: Origin Update broke Origin.exe help???
Quick question: I receive the same error. When you uninstall and reinstall, I'm assuming it keeps all your games? I haven't tried to fix this problem as I don't want to download and reinstall everything...

Origin < Steam.
