buying lappy right now will be a big regret... gtx 680m / amd 7990m will be ready around summer, 2 months of extra gaming can wait for a while, especially when you are talking about +2k lappy...

The following is my thoughts regarding the GTX 680M

GTX 580M was based on GTX 560 Ti, which was both GF114.
GTX 680M will probably be based on the GTX 670 Ti, which is the successor to GTX 560 Ti. 680M and 670 Ti will both use the GK104.

GT 540M had 96 CUDA cores. The successor GT 640M have 384 CUDA cores. That is 4x as much. GTX 580M had 384 CUDA cores. GTX 680M will have 1536 (384x4) CUDA cores. It fits the description below. Plus GK104 is 256bit, which the 680M will also have. It fits with the description below

A recent article about GTX 670 Ti is the one at the bottom. The core clock explained in the first article quoted is wrong. the correct core clock of GTX 670 Ti should be 705 MHz.

Taiwanese AIB partners have revealed to Sweclockers that Nvidia would be launching its 28nm Kepler GK104 chip based GeForce GTX 670Ti GPU in March.

Rumors of a Kepler GPU based on the GK104 core were already circulating the web, The GeForce GTX670Ti which is the successor to the GF-114 based GeForce GTX560Ti would be a performance tier arsenal from Nvidia against the AMD’s recently released HD7000 Series cards with performance levels better than Geforce GTX 580 and Radeon HD 7950.

A few specifications of the GK104 were also leaked earlier which show that the chip would feature 1536 Cuda Cores, 128 TMU, 32 ROPs and 2 GB 256-bit memory GDDR5, Core clock would be maintained around 950Mhz-1050Mhz
The site also reports the the GTX 670Ti Core clock is set at a default frequency of 7**Mhz, This was already detailed by us – Exact frequency should be 705Mhz while speed boost which is the new dynamic overclocking feature would pump it up to 950Mhz, At idle the frequency is set at 300Mhz.When flashed with the GTX 680 BIOS, The Core frequency of the GTX 670Ti went past the 1Ghz barrier. One reason the GTX 680 has a much higher frequency then GTX 670Ti is that its produced in compliance with the 28-nm high-performance HP-process technology HKMG. Actual TDP of the card is set to be around 200W.
The TDP of GTX 680 is 195W like explained over. TDP of the previous generation, GTX 580 was 250W, which means that it have falled 22%. So where does this put the TDP of 680M?
This old picture suggest 75W, which is around the same TDP decrease as the GTX 680 will see (580M was 100W, -22% = 78W)

O.M.G. I know there is a boatload of folks that just picked a Blade 1.0 up here.. If the 2.0 is a vast improvement, and is on the market within the next couple of months.. there will be some anger.. i can feel it..

Just thought this will be what GTX 680M will be based on.

Any questionable specs in this picture?

The die size on the 680 in that chart looks a little small..

hope the 680 is even better then 485 was to 480 soo it will be giving a ca 50% boost
but i realy dont hope it will be like 485 to 580 since the bump wasent worth the money .
and some thing that realy would anoy me would be that i buy the cards 3 month later they release the GK100 card

Yeah I can see that, with something like half of the shaders, or 768 total.
