I realize that it shows your frame rate. Fraps is more renowned as a program for capturing gameplay that for just showing fps. Yes, there are other alternatives such as Camtasia or Xfire that can capture gameplay as well, however fraps is effectively the de facto gameplay caputring software.
I merely found it curious that the OP has used fraps, yet was unaware of all it's features.[- Sager NP8130 -]
