Re: Catalyst 11.4 WHQL
I've been on 11.4 since their preview release. I assume these have some of the kinks worked out. Either way, I haven't noticed any performance gains since 10.2 because most of the games I've run are at 60fps to begin with.

Re: Catalyst 11.4 WHQL
when i had catalyst 11.3 installed and played red faction guerrilla, radeon pro would indicate directx 9 was being used. as soon as i installed catalyst 11.4, radeon pro now indicates directx 10 is being used. just something i noticed.

Re: Catalyst 11.4 WHQL
so huh. apparently these drivers + dvd playback = garbled mess
I need to do some codec reinstalling/updating/whatevering. Or just use VLC (which works fine for dvds still)Last edited by MagusDraco; 29th April 2011 at 11:44 AM.

Re: Catalyst 11.4 WHQL
11.4 WHQL drivers turned out to be very unstable for me. They gave me random freezes and BSODs. I reverted back to 11.3 WHQL.

Re: Catalyst 11.4 WHQL
The 11.4 preview driver increased the temps on my laptop by about 15C
This seems to have lowered it a bit.
