Default Re: Intel GMA 950 Game Compatibility

Well I've played GTA: SA on a GMA 900 before and CS:S on a GMA 950. They both run okay.

Intel's compatibility guide isn't really that useful since I don't think they ever update it. They just test games as they are released or perhaps in prerelease and list the results, but I don't think they retest when they release new patches or new drivers. The guide is also probably a bit conservative, which I suppose is a good thing since at least they aren't trying to over inflate things like the previous "Extreme Graphics" line.

Omg guys thank you for posting a tread about games. I thought I was the only one who could not play Call of Duty 2. So I guess it's the Intel chip's fault. Btw I too have a GMA 950 and I too cannot play CoD2.

Well.... I guess I have to buy the new nVidia Geforce 8800 GTX

Actually an ATI MB Radeon 9000 is one of the first cards to have Hardware T&L and as far as I know the intel GMA 950 does not have that. It's kind of sad because my friend's GMA 950 can run Battlefield 1942 high settings silky smooth while my old 9000 can barely run it medium settings without having it slow down.

MARVEL: ULTIMATE ALLIANCE

the game itself sounds too powerful for a mobile 950gma but i really wanna play it.

I, Like most of the people here, am using an intel 950gm express media accelerator...Now I tried running my notebook on systemrequirementslab.com and FAILED...oh buggah!! But i dont trust that site too much coz some games worked well despite FAILING ahahha.

I plan on playing MARVEL UA on an intel core duo 1.73ghz 1.5GB 667mhz RAM w/ 950gma

Can anyone tell me, based on experience, what the outcome would be? Performance? Playable?

I usually play only EA Sports titles like FIFA and UEfA ..its just now that ive came across MARVEL UA. I plan on getting it if I hear some positive feedbacks. No comparisons with other GPUs , just wanna know if it will work and be playable. CIAO!

Hi!
I have an Intel 945 GM Express Chipset Graphics Card w/128 MB Graphics Memory.

I can play Doom 3 at a somewhat low frame rate (15-30 FPS depending on the action around the character) at low settings.

I can play COD 1 at a very fast frame rate with no lag on medium settings.

I can play F.E.A.R on low settings too with a fast frame rate (F.E.A.R came out after Doom 3, so I don't know why it runs faster ).

And last but not least, I can play Spore on low settings with an alternating frame rate (anywhere from about 15 to about 45-50 depending on what is going on in the game).
