If there are any owners of a laptop/tablet with the nVidia Quadro NVS 110M out there who want to score a free drink on me, go to nVidia's "NZone system requirements" website and run this test to see if the game is compatible with your card:

    http://www.nzone.com/content/nzone/s...sp?gameid=2608

I ran the test on my system (GeForce 6800) and the applet seems to check for the following under Video Card:

    - 128MB video RAM
    - 3D acceleration
    - Hardware Transform & Lighting
    - Vertex Shader ver. 2 or greater
    - Pixel Shader ver. 2 or greater

A separate system specs report here:
    http://www.hardware.no/tester/laptop...820/report.htm

on a system with the NVS 110M includes the following lines:

    Hardware Transform & Lighting Supported
    Vertex Shader Version 3.0
    Pixel Shader Version 3.0

This would lead me to believe it will run. But I'd really like to know for sure.

    Thanks!
It passed but I won't be playing it...

Thanks for the test results, guys. Especially to theneuhauser for your Oblivion report. I was worried there might be a driver implementation problem.

Leaves me in a bit of a quandry.

theneuhauser, I just reread your post. Have you tried it at a lower resolution (e.g. 640x480?). Is it smoother?

ran a second 3dmark 06 test, went up, but only to 1547

    richardk,
i have run it at 640x, but i dont like it because on the highest graphics mode (hdr) theres no anti aliasing, so the images look a little jagged.

Im looking into using nvtweak, to increase the fps and i think it might actually work out great.

what did you need a quadro for anyway?

i didnt answer your question directly, rk.

the game is smooth at 640x,
but not as much as it should be.
im almost positive the quadro pipeline is got some speed limits
what i havent figured out yet is whether i can increase that pipeline.

i can have it set low, on bloom graphics with no antialiasing at 1020x and get
around 25fps or i can have hdr with high settings at 1920x and i still get over 20fps, there are some heavier dips, though into the low teens on that setting.

either way, something is limiting the quadro.
i will post if i solve it.

one last post for rk and others. i now have and ran 3d mark 05 on my computer with the quadro 1400, it scored 3344.

still no tweaks, im hoping figure out a good non-overclocking solution soon.

Thanks theneuhauser, that's the best answer I've gotten so far in my search.

To answer _your_ question, I'm curious because I'm thinking about getting the new Toshiba Tecra M7 tablet, which has the NVS110M card in it. I'm trying to figure out if it can handle this sort of game (even at low res).

    Thanks,

    Richard

The NVS 110M is based on the GeForce Go7300 - that is in the chart.

i dont know if it matters, rk.
but my computer seems to be eternally stuck in power save, slow-mo speed.
i havent been able to get any help on fixing the problem, yet, but my guess is that some of those marks from before may or may not have been erroneous.
my processors running v e r y slow so im assuming some of them should have been a little higher.

I'm getting my D820 with a 120M so I can post some benchmarks on that, I read on the Dell forums that there are some updated video drivers for the GPU that help a lot with gaming
