Default NBD - Notebook Benchmark Directory

The idea behind NBD is to be a centralized directory of notebook benchmarks, something like hwbot or futuremark orb but for notebooks.

This idea was born in the M17x's benchmark thread when people start talking about how benchmark topics never really worked due the fact that the results get lost in big threads and it gets really hard to make any compare.

This is just an alpha and i have some almost done features that will be added soon as possible (my free time is short right now) but considering that some guys in aw forum are pretty anxious about this (mandrake...) i decided to get the core working and online.

I don't wrote much more than 15 lines of CSS/HTML so the design is really simple (while it do the job) but i will improve it overtime (well... I will try at least... I'm a programmer not a designer ) and add javascript and ajax.

If you guys have any problem or find any bug (i didn't a much extensive test TBH) just post in this topic or pm me and i will fix it. If you want to upload a result for a notebook that isn't in the system just post here and i will add it (only 1920x1080 and 1440x900... I will add more resolutions when the system became more mature).

And BTW... Before anyone asks... I didn't added 3DMark06 due the fact that it isn't really a good benchmark those days but if you guys want i can add it .

Constructive criticism and feedback is always welcome and i really expect that this site can be useful for you guys .

Looks good, but it might be an idea to separate out the benchmark from the resolution and hold them as two different fields - that way, as more games and benchmarks get added people wont need to scroll all the way through them all.

Also, what do you think about adding another field which indicates the graphics settings, just something basic like high, medium, low?

nice job BIGX. A couple of minor details I noticed while registering. Put some kind of text in saying you must complete registration by clicking on the link in your email. Also you should add some type of password recovery mechanism.

For Vantage you might want to 2 fields for score. The total score and the GPU score. It seems like the GPU score is what a lot of people want to know.

Edit: I really do like this. As it keeps developing it could become really popular.

Unh... Very good idea , I will be implementing it soon.

I did some "standards" since i think that having it standardized make easier to people compare (when you read 12k vantage you know that it's high and that's my point here) but if you guys prefer more options i can add it .

Is this just for the 5 or 6 laptops you listed, or is there a way to add one?

NBR actually has a team on www.hwbot.org .... one of the largest databases for almost all benchmarking results.

    but good work.

Hwbot is only for synthetic benchmarks which isn't the case here, plus in hwbot the rank is totally useless for notebooks as theres no chance for any notebook to get in top 25 and i think is pretty obvious that it don't worked so far . My idea is to provide a place for synthetic and non-synthetic benchs and where the ranking worth something

Yeah, I know what you mean.

the main good benchmarks that can span the difference between desktops and notebooks are mainly the CPU benchmarks.
