Alu-Macbook 3DMark06 and HD Tune
Hi everybody, I was bored today, so I decided to install a few programs on my MB. As you might already know by my signature, I have the Aluminum Macbook, with the 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and the Nvidia GeForce 9400M. I used Windows XP Professional SP2, with NVIDIA Drivers, and the rest are standard Apple Bootcamp drivers. I ended up installing 3DMark06 and HD Tune, and I may get around to PCMark05. If you have any other suggestions for benchmarks, please let me know!
Also, would somebody tell me how to take a screenshot in Windows on the MB?
For 3Dmark06:
The score was 2214 3DMarks
SM2.0 score was 774
HDR/SM3.0 score was 833
CPU Score was 2111
I ran this at the native 1280x800 Resolution, with no Anti-Aliasing, Optimal Filtering, and repeat tests off.
For HD Tune:
I have the Fujitsu MHZ2250BH FF 250GB. It's the standard one that comes with the 2.4GHz model MB. Everything checked out normal, and nothing was found to be wrong with the drive. I am using the NTFS filesystem. Also, I almost forgot, this drive is a 5400rpm.
Minimum Transfer Speed: 5.8MB/sec
Maximum Transfer Speed: 56.3MB/sec
Average Transfer Speed: 45.2MB/sec
The Access Time: 16.9ms
Burst Rate: 87.3 MB/sec
CPU Usage: 1.1%
Hope somebody can benefit from these benchmarks, and please let me know if there are any more benchmarks you would like me to try!

For taking screenshots, you could use On-Screen Keyboard

Any chase of benchmarking World of warcraft? I know it's asking a bit much =/ But there is a free trial for download. I'd love you for a long time? =)

I can not even...Begin to tell you how much i Appreciate this =)
What i am looking to know is the following..
Control + R in game Shows FPS.
1. FPS on High settings (While moving around fighting)
2. FPS on Medium settings (Same as above)
3. And last..What the Temps are like while playing..I read your MB review which i liked btw =) Though the temps have me somewhat concerned as my dell with an 8600GT dedicated never surpass 65C at max load gaming.
Thank you...soo much for considering my request =)
P.S if you try COD5 as you were mentioning i am curious in your results to that also =)
This is more or less my make or break on the Macbook is how it handles WoW. As 99% of my gaming is done on my PS3..however with WoW no real chance to there hehe.Last edited by psxsage; 15th March 2009 at 12:13 AM.

Re: Alu-Macbook 3DMark06 and HD Tune
No problem! I'll probably download it tonight, get a feel for the game, and do some benchmarking tomorrow when I have some more time. I am doing this in OS X, if that's what you were looking for. Will control+r work for FPS in COD: WaW also? And for temperatures, is there a specific program you want me to use for that? And thanks for the comments about my review! I really appreciate it!

As for temps program Whatever you normally use is fine =) World at war..Not sure about that mate =/ And yes OSX is what i am curious about as i am looking to ditch Windows entirely. I have the desktop listed in my signature for the rare rare event windows is required. Again thank you beyond words.
