I posted some links earlier, have you checked those? They're pretty good resources for information.
All the missions are random I believe though. Basically just click around on stations as you fly by them, click C for comms and it'll bring up a list of who's there and if they have a crosshairs next to their name, talk to them. I started as a Terran Defender though. If you started as someone else, then you have a different standing with everyone and started in a completely different area. That might be what's different. I was finding a lot of combat missions below the Terran areas... like in Heretic's End, Omicron Lyrae, etc.MALIBAL Lotus P151HM1

Universal Traders are relatively easy to set up compared to self sufficient space fuel/weed complexes (need like 100 million to invest in first) but they're a pain to level up to the point where they'll actually use jump drives and you won't have them to do everything.
Alternative is to get yourself a good freighter and do remote trading. You can find some really great deals and as long as your start with a decent bankroll that can fill the cargo, you can make decent money. Just buy low and sell high in bulk.Current: Asus N55SF-DH71| 1080p | i7-2670QM | GT 555M | 8GB DDR3 | 500 7200RPM |

Re: Steam Games Deals - Weekend: Warhammer 40k: DoW and Company of Heroes games 50% off!
I'll be picking up Company of Heroes GOLD for $15,
Is DoW:II worth $25? Never heard anything great about it.

Re: Steam Games Deals - Velvet Assassin, X3: Terran Conflict, and Men of War discounted!
I started out as Terran defender and besides like 2 maybe 3 combat missions they just stopped appearing (last one was that I needed to go to one sector and kill one guy, as soon as I got into the system and found his ship he got killed. got a message from my employer saying that since he was killed by someone else he didn't have to pay me
)
After that I couldn't find anymore combat missions. may try again tonight.ASUS G50VT-X5-9800m GS DDR3-4 GB RAM-Intel Core2 Duo P7450 2.13GHz-320 72k HDD+500 54k HDD
