re: Steam Games Deals - Summer Sale Live
I don't really know. The black market thing in JC2 is a good idea but [in my opinion] incomplete/bad implemented. I only used it twice... not that I finished the game (not even near, it's huge), but I don't feel the black market is useful.
So, I'll get the game, but not the DLC.

Get GTA4+all the episodes for $9.99 if you guys haven't already. I bought em 3 days ago and am already 13 hours into GTA4. Wow it's a godly game....all the voice acting and cutscenes are superb and there is a lot of satire and complex underlying story beneath what is presented in the game's plot.

re: Steam Games Deals - Summer Sale Live
Id just play the game now and get DLC later if you like the game.
I picked up the DLC for Magicka today though, and I may get the Borderlands DLC.
Thing is the GoTY version of Borderlands has all 4 DLC included and on steam it says I already own the GoTY version, but I bought the game when it came out so I do not think I do unless i got it as a gift or part of a package.
So I need to verify and buy the DLC before the sale is over. I probably went overboard getting ALL the magicka DLC only some of them were worth getting.

re: Steam Games Deals - Summer Sale Live
I guess the Steam Summer Sale was more successful than Valve anticipated.
I can't download any of the games I bought - first time I have ever seen this error message:
"The Steam servers are too busy. Please try again in a few minutes."
Were they hacked or did they simply make too many sales??

re: Steam Games Deals - Summer Sale Live
So did you end up getting Portal 2? I was having trouble deciding whether or not to get it too. Still on the fence about it. I loved the first Portal, but I'm concerned about the campaign length and re-playability. At $24.99 it's the lowest price I've seen it go for, but I might just wait a few more months and see if it goes any lower.

no i didn't get it i ended up getting 11 other games with the remaining balance i had put in my steam wallet
i'd say the $24.99 is a good price to get it at now i just get bored easily and would rather play different games instead of spending a lot of time in one, yeah on the first portal i pretty much played through it in a couple days after i received my new laptopL702X l i7-2630QM l 16GB l SDSSDX-240Gb & 640GB l 1080p Non-3D l 9C l GT555 3GB w/ TV l BR-RW l 6230N/BT l BKB

re: Steam Games Deals - Summer Sale Live
Understood. I've decided not to get it either. I still have a few other games to finish, and Team Fortress 2 is just a big time-suck that by the time I got around to playing Portal 2 it would probably be on sale again for a higher discount. Ah, TF2. No matter how much you frustrate me, you keep me coming back for more.
