    Default Dell Inspiron 9300

    I'm just wondering, Is it really required to get the upgraded video card? Will the other one run just as many games? Or is the upgraded one basically required for gaming?

    You need to define gaming. Most games will run on the lesser card, but high end games will run much better, with higher settings on the 256MB card.
