d94, have you turned off IDA? That did the trick on mine and now RMClock is working, showing the voltages I'm lowering it to for testing. Instead of checking the IDA index, leave it unchecked in Performance on Demand and in the main Profiles tab of RMClock if you want to give it a try.

Here's a thread on it at the RMClock forums that reports it as a bug in the current version of RMClock:

    Thanks for the great guides.

To the people who asked about running RMClock on Vista 64, one easy way to get it to run is to simply press F8 before Vista boots like you are trying to boot into safe mode. You will then be presented with a list of various ways to boot Vista. The last one on the list is "Disable driver signature enforcement". Select that one and then Vista will boot with driver signature enforcement disabled and you will be able to run RMClock fine. The first time you try to run it Vista will still pop up a warning but just dismiss that and you won't see it again. The only problem is you will have to use this F8 boot procedure every time you restart Vista. That isn't a big problem for me because I mostly let Vista sleep and don't restart that often. It's definitely worth pressing F8 at boot once in a while to be able to run RMClock (and this work around also allows you to run PeerGuardian2 on Vista x64 btw).

I think they have blocked this on x64 SP1. There was another work around before this one and it got blocked too

There is an even better work around, its a program called Astiv. It bypasses the driver checking. Great stuff for x64

NOW , my old laptop has a serious annoying problem .....
Every time i play a game the laptop temperature increased and the performance decreased too much (THUS I CANT PLAY) .....

so, what its the problem exactly ? as showing in the pic the hard disk temperature is too hight (sometimes it reaches 60C) , is the hard disk cause this problem or is it the CPU voltage needed to be decrease???

Is the problem related to this topic ?!!
( NOTE : I didnt overclock or change anything, just updated the Bios ).....

Firstly NHC isnt fully compatible with Vista so try use HDTune for accurate results.

Let me know if they show the same temps

Try reflashing back to the old BIOS, see if this is whats responsible for the abnormal temps. Does your HD have a heatsink to the fan?

Also how are your CPU temps?

64c is in the UNsafe ranges. I suggest backup whatever you have in that driver now. It will fail sooner or later running at those temperatures. Use HWmonitor, it will show your CPU/GPU/HDD temps

Go to the toshiba section and post your HD temp issues.

Also now you have a good excuse to get a bigger and better HD
