Vista: 3dMark06 Score only 2 points less than XP score?!?
http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...=0&UID=8367140
My score is 1743 under Vista, and during my initial review of the nc8430 I got a 1745. I'm just curious if others are experiencing the same results or not.

Also, my PCMark05 score has jumped from 4652 in XP to 4694 under Vista! And that's with all my programs running in the background. Wondering what a virgin installation with no other background processes would score...Last edited by Greg; 12th March 2007 at 03:36 AM.

Re: Vista: 3dMark06 Score only 2 points less than XP score?!?
Thats is kinda strange i noticed around a 200 drop in points (3DMark06) in comparison to urs but a slight gain in vista for PCMark05...you sure you removed programs on startup/unnecessary programs running in the background when you were checking in xp?...(otherwise thats pretty good!)

3DMark06 doesn't take as much of a hit in points as 3DMark05 under Vista. PCMark05 actually increases in many cases as you found night.
Here's a review of an Asus Z84Jp - there are performance scores for both XP and Vista:
