Re: P7120 Ssd
no there isnt a choice for AHCI in bios. just enable or disable IDE. disabling IDE doesn't work.

Re: P7120 Ssd
If you buy the external usb do you have another laptop that you can connect it to try and format it?
In the other thread i wrote that it's a bit of an unknown quantity.
In one of the Amazon reviews someone appeared to get this working with a
P7120. May be it could be a bad drive. With the Photofast drive i bought for a P7230 it was recognised in the BIOS, only that it was not recognised via usb. I had to try and do this with another laptop.Sony TT SU9600, White, 256GB SSD, 8GB DDR 3,Gobi WWAN EU, 5300, HDMI, Bluray
Sony SZ71WN/C- 4GB, 128GB SSD,
Samsung Galaxy 8.9 16GB 3G ICS, White tablet.

Re: P7120 Ssd
Hi,
Has anyone been able to achieve read speeds significantly greater than about 30MB\s. For example in Photofast G-Monster V4 ZIF SSD User Reviewl Martin_555 claims that they cannot achieve speeds greater than about 30MB\s, even though the SSD is capable of speeds much greater than this and even though the P7120 uses UDMA/100.
Thanks
