Re: Norton Killed My Performance... So I Killed Norton.
I haven't read this entire thread so spare me if this has already been mentioned....but your best bet for virus protection is avast. I've been using it forever and every single person who I have recommended to has been nothing but completely satisfied with its performance! Trust me, you won't regret getting avast! (I sound like a salesman haha)

Re: Norton Killed My Performance... So I Killed Norton.
oh yeah the most used question " which antivirus should i install?"
i experienced norton and kaspersky both. norton is a crap since it doesnt see many viruses untill it crashes and says too many viruses..
kaspersky internet security is a crap too. that program scans everything like hell ! it scans every email , every message and every archive file which i run. it drives me crazy poping up in the lower right corner... and after all i was looking for a cure of a program and went in notorious sites. i got virus there and i had to reinstall windows.
now i can proudly say that i dont use any antivirus program so my machine is as fast as it is running a few processes.
i put deep freeze which freezes the whole drive as it is clean and recovers it on every restart and the system is like brand new.

that's not power
