I just received yesterday my 9400 (e1705) with old C1D 2GHz, 1GB, WUXGA, not too different from yours, with one year care bear for $1478 CDN (20% different from US $ ?).

I'm not too sure on the Dell keyboard though. The skin of my finger sometime sticks underneath a neighboring key sometimes. I type with 10 fingers, and when I need to quickly reach my finger way up becuase of a function key or something, the finger that's moving up gets stuck underneath the key that that finger just pressed.
I think I'm somewhat ok with it.
But one thing is definitely for sure:
1) Dell keyboard is not as good as the Thinkpad one, and also not as good as the Lenovo one.
2) Dell keyboard will most likely get 'old' in about 2 years.
However, I've searched for keyboard replacements, and I'm seeing cheap replacement keyboards on ebay.
At the moment, I seem to be able to type pretty decently with it, but I expect keys to start breaking after about a year or so... No problemo, lots of repair options available, because Dell is not like some rogue brand as, say, Sager (woof).

I ordered on Thursday, had a problem with my credit card, and finished it up Friday Evening. Now, it's 'In Production' and at the boxing stage in less than a day.
How long until it ships?
