Fortunately, "almost" doesn't count. They recalled F5132 and mine is F5133.

I just checked with Dell, and my battery is NOT being recalled. I have a battery made in Korea, and from what the website says batteries made in China and Japan are deffective, not Korea.

This has got to be one of those times in my life where i'm almost happy that something I own is not made in Japan. =) Imagine on of those things burning up on someone's lap. Sure leave's a lot for imagination. =)

We have enough threads about the battery recall. So I am merging these two and keeping the poll. Have fun voting.

wow , I'm glad that many people who got RD857 doesn't effected either so that's mean I'm not the only one
but I won't be happy if the website turn out to be mistaken and my laptop explode ,if that happen I would take the burning laptop and smash it to Michael's head

Even if its made by a Japanese company, it's most likely made in China, not Japan.
