Adding RAM to a d620
My d620 came with a 1 GB stick of 667 MHz RAM and I just ordered another 1 GB stick of G.Skill DDR2 PC2 5400 RAM from Newegg.com ->

Will this work okay? Will I be able to run in dual channel mode? I'm not sure if Dell uses 5300 or 5400. Will it matter? Thanks.
EDIT: Sorry, link has been fixed.Last edited by Brett3rThanU; 3rd August 2006 at 01:42 PM.

Dead link, Brett...
It should be fine after asking similar questions yesterday.
I did not realize that there were only 2 memory slots. I got thrown off when it said that there was a capacity for 4 GBs. I thought there were 4. I don't want to take the keyboard off to get to the stick.Unibody Macbook Pro 15.4", 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo, 1067FSB, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB HDD, nVidia 9400M + 9600M GT, 512MB DDR3

Re: Adding RAM to a d620
It is actually very easy to remove the keyboard to get to the second slot:

It is just a matter of removing a few screws.
And yes, that ram stick will work in your laptop.
