??? about adding RAM to E1505......
I just got an E1505 with 1 stick of 1GB RAM. CPU-Z says it's Hyundai PC4300. The only thing I can find for sale anywhere is PC4200.
Will I still have dual channel if I put a 1GB stick of PC4200 Kingston Ram next to the 1GB of Hyundai PC4300 that's already in there?
What's the difference between the 2?

PC4300 is identical to PC4200. JEDEC changed the nomenclature from PC4300 to PC4200. You will have dual channel if you add any PC4200, 1GB stick of RAM.

Re: ??? about adding RAM to E1505......
I don't think there'll be a problem. I currently have 2GB of Kingston RAM. The box which they came in read PC-4200, but CPU-Z is reporting them as PC4300.
Also, I installed these sticks one at a time. So at one point I actually had the 512MB stick installed by Dell installed with the 1GB of Kingston I added myself... & they were still running in Dual Channel mode.
So if you install another stick of PC2-4200 w/ the same specs, you should be okay.E1405 w/ T2300E
LCD: WXGA+ w/ TL (samsung)
RAM: 2GB @ 533mhz (kingston)
HDD: 100GB @ 5400RPM (seagate)
DVD: 8X (NEC)

PC rating for DDR2 modules can be calculated by multiplying the clock by 8. That means PC4264 for DDR2-533 memory. You can round that up or down. That's why (I suspect) the JEDEC standard is 4200. Obviously, that doesn't stop manufacturers from confusing the masses when they use 4300. The same goes for PC5300/PC5400.
