    Default low performance on Dell

I recently bought a Dell laptop and I enjoyed using it for a while. I noticed that it has started playing up with low performance. i mean it is really slow in every sense of the word. i would appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction. maybe it is a software problem.

Do you have some malware on your laptop? Do you have any security software?

this is usually my first guess outside of an obvious hardware problem, like a hard drive going bad

also a few more details would help greatly, what are your system specs etc.

If you recently bought it, return it where you bought it from.

There is a whole host of reasons why a machine could be slow. First off, what Dell model is it? If you went from an i7 machine to an Atom, ya the computer will seem slow. Also check what anti-virus software you are running and scan your machine. Run Dell Diagnostics to see if all your hardware is in working order.

I did a few repairs on Dell notebooks. Can you tell me what model it is. My experience with their notebooks is that if they start to fail early to get rid of them or reinstall everything. You may, as much as you don't want to, send it back. It will only get worse. How many days ago did you buy it and for how much money.
