Default Multiple Digital Monitors - anyone running?

    Hi

I'm considering a Dell XPS15 laptop (or any Dell laptop). I'd love to run 2*HDMI monitors.

Is anyone doing this successfully? Maybe run the HDMI and the miniDisplayPort with a converter? Can I run both at 1920*1080?

    Cheers

    Dave

This is possible, both at 1080p. dont forget to get a display port adaptor

In fact, with the XPS 15, you can have 2 external monitors plus the laptop display.

    Google

Just wondering which brand of DisplayPort-to-HDMI output cable did you buy ?

    The Dell XPS1647 it has 3 outputs, VGA, HDMI & DisplayPort. Can it output 3 external monitors @ 3 x (1920x1080) ?

Get yourself a Latitude E-Series with the dock connector (ie: E6500/E6510/E6520) + E-port docking station = 2 DVI/Displayport connectors in the dock, that can both be driven by the laptop.

100% supported by Dell, no hacks involved, can run 2560x1600 displays (ie: Dell U3011's or U2711's) as well which gives you an upgrade path from 1080p/WUXGA should you ever desire.

You can do this with the non-dual-DVI dock as well with 1x DP and 1x DVI. My dad has been running said setup for months now with no problem.

Anyone know if its possible with 1645? I have 1 monitor connected via VGA and 1 via Hdmi but i can't use both + laptop display. And the 5730 is Eyefinity compatible, so do the displays have to be digital?
