AHCI or ATA mode must be enabled in the BIOS for successful download. The DSRD application automatically detects either AHCI or ATA mode and progresses accordingly
So I guess this is not for raid or we have to switch to ahci in the bios then update?

And the fact that if you wanted to go back to RAID afterwards you'd get no benefit from TRIM anyway as TRIM isn't supported in RAID configs.

I am thinking about doing away with my raid setup.Would I have to flash both drives after changing to ahci in the bios?

Actually the newest intel driver is supposed to support TRIM in RAID,

I tried flashing my SSD drive which already have TRIM,(VBM19C1Q) and the utility did not identify them as supported drives

No it doesn't, it supports TRIM pass-through which means in a system containing a RAID array you can also have an SSD attached (non-RAID) that supports TRIM. Previously if you had an active RAID array, Intel's storage manager could not pass TRIM commands through to attached SSDs.
