Re: Reboot my E1705
I would call tech support and ask.
Dell XPS 1210:
Dual Core 1.66, 1 gb 667 MHZ RAM, Nivdia 7400 256 MB with Turbocache, 100 gb 5400 rpm hd, 6 and 9 cell batteries.

Re: Reboot my E1705
I'm not sure if dell's tech support would cover it though since they'll probably diagnose it as a software problem.

Re: Reboot my E1705
If worsts comes to work,(if its possible even) to do a reformat on that system. It will fix it, as of course a reformat fixes ever software issue

Re: Reboot my E1705
Just because it is an blue screen does not mean that it is a windows error though. Could be bad memory, bad hdd, or something else.
If you can't reboot/boot up the laptop at all, then something major is wrong and won't be fixed by the XP disc. Its hard to tell because the error code isn't giving us much to go on. If you can tell us other symptoms or more about the error, that would be helpful.Last edited by Amber; 12th March 2006 at 10:23 PM.

Re: Reboot my E1705
You guys are quick, I did rip out the battery, (my son finally called back to give me this clue) it started back up just fine. I googled the error message on my desktop so that is why I figured it was a ms problem. I'm going out tomorrow to get a router to set up the wireless connection, I'll see how that goes. Thanks everyone, I love my laptop again!!
