Windows 7 upgrade disks from Dell
According to dell site here:
https://win7.dell.com/UpgradeDates.aspx
quote:
so considering the actual shipping date is this thursday we should get ours on the 5th november.Upgrade kits will begin shipping approximately two weeks after general availability of Windows® 7. Actual dates will vary based on language availability.
I would be keen to know if anyone gets theirs sooner (please post on here if you do) and also mention where you are.
Thanks

Re: Windows 7 upgrade disks from Dell
HI, I would imagine its going to vary based on a first come first serve basis. I mean they have to ship out everyone's upgrade from June 26 to like NOW so if ordered recently I wouldn't expect it for a while. You never know though I'm sure they don't want to have to send out all these upgrades for the next month. Might come sooner than you think.

Re: Windows 7 upgrade disks from Dell
Does anyone know what we will be actually receiving ?
I hope we're not forced to use some kind of dell wrapped install with all their drivers etc.
I deally would like to use a normal microsoft disk and just the license key that comes in the pack
