inspiron 13 vs. xps m1330?

Between these two, which should I go for?
I know the XPS is a more expensive laptop and has more features and all that but I've also been hearing more problems with it - Nvidia issues, CPU whine, etc.
The inspiron is cheaper and there's not a lot of issues as I've read about.
So considering this time frame, which should I go for?
Or is there any other laptop you guys rec? (Dell, of course)

EDIT: Gonna be using this mostly for school-related stuff and music/movies on the side. Very light gaming.

look at it from this point of view cooler and cheaper and less problems vs Hotter and expensive and more issues.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I thought the Inspiron is a much better choice too, with regards to maintenance and cost.

the cpu whine basically happens to any intel core 2 duo processor As far as I know and the nvidia 8 series problem should definitely have been fixed by now. if not, the M1330 is still available with integrated graphics.

if graphics is somewhat important, go with the M1330. if not, I would still lean towards the M1330. it's a solid, well built notebook and I personally think it looks better not to mention it's a full pound lighter.

but if your on a budget and can't spend anymore than you have to, the Inspiron 13 is a good choice as well.

Vostro 1320 seems like it should be nice too... and it's lighter than the other two and still pretty well-priced.

Only downside I can see is, the only video out port is VGA... so no HDMI or DisplayPort or anything. But... if you're mainly using the built-in display then it shouldn't be a problem.
