Re: ***-->The Official Dell Adamo Thread<--***
so i think i fixed it.
it was definitely something magnetic. every time i held a piece of metal up to the top-right of my screen id hear it. after doing it a few times it stopped, i think it had gotten loose, probably the closed-lid sensor.
hopefully it's gone for good. if it comes back this week i'll send this computer back faster than cold soup.

No, I meant the locking mechanism on the underside of the laptop. The Adamo 13 doesn't use screws to hold it together, it uses 3 sliding latches. You can see the teardown on Dell Adamo Teardown - iFixit

Re: ***-->The Official Dell Adamo Thread<--***
For anyone interested, I figured why my laptop is on sometimes when I pull it out of my laptop bag. Apparently if I apply enough pressure on the outside of the laptop when the lid is closed, I am able to trigger the power button.

Re: ***-->The Official Dell Adamo Thread<--***
I have both 1.4ghz one and 2.1ghz one. After being impressed by 1.4ghz one, I recently got the 2.1ghz one. For a moment, I was happy to see improved windows experience index. But when I ran windows update, I noticed the fan was running far more frequently and its noise is unbearable.
1.4ghz version rarely had its fan running but the 2.1ghz one almost always runs its fan, even when I was running simple tasks like web browsing.
Does your 2.1ghz adamo also make fan noise?

Re: ***-->The Official Dell Adamo Thread<--***
the computer makes 0 sound when web browsing, but the fan does kick in when you watch videos on youtube in full screen mode. The fan also was running when I did my windows updates.
So far I am loving it. I need to sell my macbook pro now, which I have been using it pretty much as a desktop for the last few month. I am getting a mac mini once I sold my macbook pro, so i will have a mac mini / adamo laptop combination.

Re: ***-->The Official Dell Adamo Thread<--***
My fan will kick on if I do something intensive like a full scan with my antivirus. Just regular browsing, word editing etc etc. does nothing.
