its probably not that lively since most consider the adamo to be way overpriced for the internals so they steer away.

quite frankly it is but the design is very unique. i have yet to play with mine but i have high hopes that it won't leave me disappointed. if it arrives with no defects ill be bumping up the warranty and enjoying it for quite some time.

now that i've sent back all of the M15x's my current portable is a wind netbook. its nearly good enough for couch surfing and the like so im thinking the adamo will more than suit my needs.

I hear ya with the M15x - I had one of the very first ones and was really disappointed. Maybe I was too harsh comparing it to the M17x but it felt really cheap in comparison.

The Adamo, on the other hand, was pure engineering genius. As long as you keep expectations real on what it can and can't do, you'll like it

    Default Adamo sleeve

I'm not sure if it will fit my Adamo, but I just ordered a manilla-envelope sleeve designed for the MacBook Air:

    http://manillamac.com/

It's pretty unique and cost $40.95 shipped. I'll report back here if it ends up working well for me.

    Default DisplayPort to HDMI output

I'd also like to share my experiences with outputting HDMI using the Adamo's DisplayPort. To do it, I purchased a 10ft DisplayPort to HDMI cable from Monoprice for $13.58 shipped:

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

The build quality of the cable is nice (gold plated connectors, thick 28AWG wire, and a white plastic jacket), and I hooked it up between my Adamo 13 and Sony 37XBR6 LCD television.

Immediately after connecting the laptop to the TV, the DisplayPort realizes it's connected via HDMI and outputs picture to the display. Additionally, it switches the audio settings to "HDMI Audio" and sends sound via the HDMI port, too. You can tweak the picture settings even further (display resolution, cloning/dual display mode, etc) by right-clicking the desktop and selecting "Graphics Properties..." to launch the Intel Graphic & Media Control Panel.

For watching a movie in 1080p on the TV, the image quality is excellent and the audio sounds great as well. My only complaint is that the HDMI Audio chipset only supports 2.0 channel output, so there isn't any ability for 5.1 and 7.1 output via HDMI from DVD or Blu-ray sources.

To summarize, a DisplayPort to HDMI cable offers seamless video and audio output to any HDTV while using just one wire.

nice info. i "accidentally" kept the DP>HDMI adapter that came with my last M15x so if i ever need it i'm covered.

time to call and check again!

    Dang.

Mine is still in production - build, no boxing yet. And my order has been expedited.

When I ordered the other 2 Adamo's a couple of months back they came quick.
