If you tell me what "720p mkv files are and I can get one, I will try it for you. How's that for not knowing tons of tech stuff.?

IMHO--this is the best keyboard I have ever typed on--like it better than the thinkpad keyboard even and the mac keyboard too.

I'm glad to have found this forum!
I just ordered a Dell Adamo PEARL 2.16GHz/4GB/256GB SSD notebook from the Dell website on 11/6 with an estimate ship date of mid December.
I re-checked the order status page this morning to discover the ship date was moved up, and I'll be receiving my order on 11/17 (with standard shipping)!
I'm very excited to receive this laptop soon, and I'll be looking forward to putting it through the paces. I ordered a Blu-ray drive from Newegg and a DisplayPort -> HDMI Cable from Monoprice, so I'll see if I can figure out if audio over HDMI is possible, too.
I'll keep you posted as to how the new notebook performs!Last edited by DJ GLO; 16th November 2009 at 12:27 AM.

Here's a 720p mkv file.

It's a torrent and you'll probably need the CCCP codecs to play. Not sure if you want to go through all that trouble just for me.

@lilyang
Yeah that's definitely me :) There's nothing like an old school ghettoblaster with some new school tricks:

@tissot
I'd be more than happy to check for 720p .mkv playback. Do I still need the codec to play it back using VLC?
@eihcir90
Yeah, seeing such a delayed shipping date initially was kind of a gamble. But I'm glad Dell came through and built it fast. As long as you order before the Christmas rush, you should be in the clear.DJ GLO - http://www.djglo.net
