Re: Suddenley hard drive rattles and makes tons of noise...?
Anyone know how to get the company name I used? Can't remember, and can't find the packing slip that came with the computer!
They wont process the repair until the can "verify" it with the company name. ughDell XPS M1530 - Tuxedo Black

Re: Suddenley hard drive rattles and makes tons of noise...?
Go to Dell.com, and sign into your account..It should have your information there. It should even have the tracking number used for when it was shipped, so you can check that via the Carrier and see exactly how it was shipped, if needed. You will want to click on your order number of the lappy, and within that it will show all the order info..
In fact..it will go back as far as 2 years:

Re: Suddenley hard drive rattles and makes tons of noise...?
I just made an account because I did the one time thing when I ordered it.
But I have my customer ID and order number. The problem lies that the shipping address/etc. reads "NA" now... But I requested an invoice, which will hopefully have my information in it? haha
Thanks CinDell XPS M1530 - Tuxedo Black

Just used a random company name and the CS rep sent me a new Hard drive after a few minutes of looking for some help.

Re: Suddenley hard drive rattles and makes tons of noise...?
Yeah, all they pretty much need is the Service Tag and they can look up the warranty status. Awhile back I had two accounts for the same machine. My wife had called up for a USB problem, then two months later I called up for a video card prob. We gave two different addresses/info and they didn't care...
