Default did i botch it up

I installed vista x64, but i kept the original partitions on the hard drive, anywayz i need to send the laptop back to dell but i cant seem to find the option to restore to factory setting,

when i formatted the partition that had the install did i so something wrong rendering the restore image useless? i''ve tried F8 on boot but cannot find the option to get the image to run, any one point me in the right direction.

You don't need to restore anything on the laptop if you are returning it. You could format it and send it in, they don't care.

NTLDR is a system file and can be replaced by booting from a floppy and typing sys c:.A windows re install can also help in this case.

The x64 Vista install probably wrote over the recovery partition boot info. Unless someone knows how to restore the boot information, you'll have to google it.
