how to set up xp, vista dual boot with media direct working

i searched on this forum for a while and did not find matched information.

i plan to do a clean install to wipe out recovery partition. then will try to install vista first and then xp.

i heard that install vista first then xp will mess up boot loader and we need to use some software to modify the boot loader. will this mess up media direct function too?

I guess the short answer is that you have to figure it out for yourself, using tips from threads like that one with 50 pages.
