Hey commish, thought I'd pipe in. I got my Vostro 1500 from the outlet, and my buddy got his Vostro 1400 from the outlet as well.

We're in love with our laptops, I probably saved $300 off the best deal going at the time, and that was without any coupons to the outlet.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with the outlet, I have a friend who worked for Dell, and he swears he'll never buy a Dell that isn't from the outlet.

Hah...I used outlet 5 times in three sentences.

I got the system in my sig for £570 all in, plus a case and mouse for an extra £30.

The screen had two rows of dead pixels on it, I phoned yesterday to sort this out, Mr Dell is currently sat in reception fixing my notebook as we speak.

Prompt delivery in the first place, also well impressed by the speed at which this has been turned around by Dell.

My criteria for a laptop was a £600ish, fairly powerful machine that could do the odd game if I wanted it to, 15.4". I don't think anything else could match it really. I was looking at the GX610 before this.

Ok, bummer about the screen, but its getting turned around ASAP, without the thing leaving my possession.

I got mine and I'm loving it. Fired it up to make sure specs were right and to test out the components. Zero dead pixel screen and everything is just beautiful. I got a two prong though, so I'll be trying to get a three prong plug instead.

I definitely think the refurb M1530 is an awesome deal.

    $1,175.65 after tax.

Retail Dell is over 2000 + tax.
T61P to same spec is over 2000 easy.

Can't beat this deal, in my opinion. Save some cash for the next laptop later on.

That's a sweet deal, after upgrading my RAM and HD on my own and buying from the outlet I spent just about the same...but you've got bluetooth, a little more hard drive, sound blaster, & I venture to say the GDDR3 8600 card ...but then again I purchased mine back in Sept.

Go outlet!...just don't buy from the outlet next time I'm in the market, I want the good dealz :P

My m1530 arrived yesterday from the outlet. It is fantastic! The screen is gorgeous (I got the lg one). I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this computer and a brand new one besides the sticker on the bottom. Not a scratch on it. I would definately go with a refurbished one if you get a good deal. I got mine for $983 from the outlet which is almost half the price of what it would have costed new.
