    This is actually similar to wet sanding... I've never tried the paste, I'm going to give that a shot on some things.

    Yes, sort of a combination of wetsanding and polishing, but the toothpaste won't dissolve the paint off the plastic, just removes fine scratches. It also does a nice job of removing the oxidized outer layer of rubber and silicones.

    Does this toothpaste thing really work? I'm sure there's some difference between dive mask material and the 700m case. I'm not an expert on material science, but I have a feeling that the clear hard plastic on dive masks is pretty different than the coated plastic on notebook cases. Still, if it works that would be pretty damn cool. I've got some things I'd like to try it on, but I really don't want my stuff to smell like toothpaste.
