    Default Specs fluctuate in Cpuz

    Hi,
I have noticed this from quite a long time, what happens is my specifications of the fsb and cpu frequency fluctuates.
I have posted the pics below:
    http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php...itled.bmp.html
    http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php...tled1.bmp.html

As you can see the frequency fluctuates cause the multiplier changes from 12 to 6?Why does this happen? So what does this mean?
The cores that i run are supposed to be 2.0Ghz each or 1.0Ghz each?

And the Fsb: Dram ratio is 1:2
Below are the specs of my ram, again thru cpuz.

    http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php...tled4.bmp.html

Can I change the ratio to 1:1? If yes will that be faster(i would prefer more gaming performance rather than application performance, and since the timings are lower it is supposed to run faster right?)

Will Unreal Tournament run on atleast Medium with my configuration(can be seen in my signature)?

The recommended specs according to wiki are:
    [quote]
    2.4+ GHz Dual Core Processor
    1 GBytes of System RAM
NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ Video Card
8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space

    Please help.

    The CPU is speedstepping....

It's normal, that's how it should be, it helps keep your notebook cool and prolongs its life, but the power kicks in when needed with (for all practical purposes) zero lag.

Everything is normal bro. IT does it to save power, keep heat down and yes prolong life.

IF you're talking about UT3? I'm not to sure how you're video card will handle it. Get the demo and try

You can’t change the bus speed, CPU multiplier, DRAM speed or the ratio (they locked in the BIOS). Main bus speed of your motherboard is 166MHz, and the RAM speed is 333MHz, that is why FSB: DRAM is given as 1:2. However, the effective operational speed of the RAM is 666Mhz since they are DDR (Double-Data Rate) which means data can be transferred during both rising and falling edges of a clock pulse. Running at 1:1 would only make things worse, because that would force the RAM to run at half the speed they are running now.

Speaking of UT3, I dont think your notebook will run it even at Medium settings. Maybe some options at low in 800x600 or even 640x480 to get a playable frame rate. However UT 2003 would run fine.
