    Default Does your Hard Drive make a crackling noise?

    Does your Hard Drive make a crackling noise? Mine does and im using the Vostro 1400. Will Dell replace my Hrad drive becuase of this or even give me a free upgraded hard drive?

    Doubt it. If it doesn't effect performance or anything, they probably won't do anything about it. But it's worth a try to call customer care.
