Turning off blue led indicator lights?
Is there a way to disable the blue led indicator lights from being on, because they can become quite annoying at times. I am a proud owner of a Vostro 1400,

Re: Turning off blue led indicator lights?
I find the blue LED light on my 65w AC adapter annoying. Its so bright it can light up a dark room.

Re: Turning off blue led indicator lights?
You could physically disconnect the LED wires if they are not soldered on.

Re: Turning off blue led indicator lights?
just checked out the A03 bios. can't find anything that looks helpful there... it would be cool if notebook hardware control could do it, but i don't know if it can.

Re: Turning off blue led indicator lights?
yeah it would be cool if at least it could make them dimmer at least. That would rock.

Re: Turning off blue led indicator lights?
I doubt there's an easy way to turn them off via software. It's a case of function following form, I guess. I think Dell would have done better to use something other than superbright LEDs (who needs to see their laptop's status lights from two miles away?), or maybe they could have placed them above the keyboard so they could at least serve as a keyboard lamp.

the only way to turn them off is to unplug them.
