Re: ->The official POST ABOUT YOUR NEW DELL NOTEBOOK thread.<-
Huzzah! My e1705 came today. I'm so hyped. I've been spending the past 5 hours downloading updates/patches/fixes and installing all my awesome software. Would you believe that my 100GB HD is already HALF FULL?! Looks like I'm gonna have to get an external one for my Ubuntu install. Has anyone ever done this? I know it's possible, but I'm not sure on the difficulty level. Anyways, I'm gonna go play UT2004 on full specs while downloading Open Office, running a virus scan, and installing Visual Studio 2005.....w00t!

Re: ->The official POST ABOUT YOUR NEW DELL NOTEBOOK thread.<-
What, nobody is excited about the new 1420? I just ordered a nicely equipped version of this little gem. The good news: the $350 coupon got me 2 gigs, the dedicated graphics card, Blue Tooth and big HD for about $1k. The bad news: Dell says it won't ship until the end of July. Aarrgh! Now I have listen to everyone crowing about their 1330s while I wait. I know, the 1330 is better, but for my purposes I don't think it's twice as good -- and it would have cost twice as much.
