Key Combo to Restore PC to Dell Factory?
Hello, I'm sure this is around somewhere, but I've searched and can't find it. What is the key combo to press at startup to restore a Dell laptop to the factory settings? I'm having a TON of Vista errors, and want to try reseting everything. I haven't had this many errors on a computer since the days of Windows 98.
I have Windows Home Premium Edition, would Vista Business be any better? One of the most common errors I get is "Explorer.exe" must close.
Luckily I haven't been doing any real work when these errors have happened.
Edit** Think I found the key combo, is it still ctrl+F11 upon startup for Vista machines?Last edited by FrontierDriver284; 6th August 2007 at 04:02 PM.

Re: Key Combo to Restore PC to Dell Factory?
I had the same problem. Tweaked around with Vista a little and ended up frying the install. I posted on the Dell community forums and was pointed to this site:

It was very helpful as I had tried to reinstall everything but could only get Vista to do a clean install and not any of the Dell Utilities. This should restore your computer to the way it was out of the box. Let us know if it works!Inspiron 1520
