    Default Is 1520's WSXGA+ Grainy?

I've been reading a bit about "grainy" issues. I was wondering will my screen be "grainy?" I'm getting a 15.4 in' High Res WSXGA+ screen.

    Thanks,

Hmm. I'll see what I think about it when I get it. I don't think I'll have a problem with it though.

You know, it is a bit grainy, you don't really notice it too much, especially on darker images or in games (not noticeable at all). I wonder if it is a coating on the screen or something. I like the laptop so much, and the WSXGA+ screen.

It is the truelife coating that is causing it mostly. Fixate your eyes on a particularly grainy area and move a white back ground around. Youll notice the grains dont shift nor move. To me this points to the true life coating.

This is kind of a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway: Is the graininess a symptom of some flaw in the production, or is it just the way some people see it? In other words, if I got down to the Dell Kiosk and check out the 1520 and like it, will I be getting the exact same screen, or is there a risk of getting a "bad" one?

I think its all the same. It isn't bad, I think ThermoNuke is right, it is the coating. It is a beautiful screen.
