Re: Battle of Vostro's VS Inspiron's
A battle isn't necessary.
Do your research with the posts already here and you'll find out what suits your needs. A summary from all the posts here include, a Vostro has a cheaper price for a low-end system, while an Inspiron has a cheaper price for middle system.I'm selling two 512 MB DDR2 667MHz sticks once I receive my Vostro 1400(August 9th
). PM me your best offer.

Re: Battle of Vostro's VS Inspiron's
I'd expect the Vostro to have a better build quality (Business class), While the Inspiron would give you more "Bang for the buck."

Re: Battle of Vostro's VS Inspiron's
idk about the better build quality-i mean they're basically mirror images...maybe that's something they want you to think at least? either way they're both a good value. It all depends on the current deals and your particular build.

They're identical in terms of build quality...

Re: Battle of Vostro's VS Inspiron's
From Dell's website, Vostro appears to have a sturdier chassis with magnesium alloy.

vostros are cheaper if they are under 1k. there was no way i could configure an inspiron with a 8600gt for under $800.

Inspiron all the way.
Much more bang for the buck, and they've always been reliable.Dell Latitude E4300 | Windows 7 Professional x64

Re: Battle of Vostro's VS Inspiron's
Well there is no way I could have gotten what I got in my 1400 in a 1420 for the same price...plus all black looks sexy! As far as build quality...idk they are probably the same...
