Default 830's now have dedicated GPU's

I've been checking Dell's website pretty religiously for when the 830's would have dedicated gpu's.

Today I noticed three options now:

    128MB NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 135M™ [add $70]
May delay your Latitude D830 ship date

    256MB NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 140M™ [add $130]
May delay your Latitude D830 ship date

Intel® Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 [Included in Price]

The disclaimer is lame and uninformative, but still, nice to know the options now.

Anybody have experience/opinions on these cards?

Those appear to be the 8400M G and 8400M GS from the looks of the specifications.

I think on NVidias site it says that those cards support DVI output. Anyone know if the D830 gives DVI as an option with dedicated cards (like how HP gives HDMI if you get a dedicated)?

I'm guessing no but just curious anyways.

I wonder why Dell doesn't offer stronger graphics cards like the FX 570M or FireGL V5600 like the T61p and HP 8510w?

Dell's Precision M65 is (I think) basically a Latitude D820 with a stronger graphics card than the ones that were offered on the D820. I imagine that at some point they'll get around to updating it to be a D830 with stronger graphics card. (The T61p didn't come out at the same time as the T61 either.)

Dunno, but most probably Latitudes are not designed to handle that power consumption.

No, it was the FX 350M (M65) and NVS 120M (D820), which are virtually the same card with just different drivers and purpose.

No, they just won't. Sorry to disappoint.

I wish the D630 had a truelife screen and a stronger graphics card. I think Dell would be on a winner with a killer system, having an Nvidia card based towards gamers, with the build of a Lattitude.

I would buy it within a second.
