    Default M1210 Screen Comments?

How is the quality of the M1210 screen? I've seen some reviews saying it was poor and had very narrow viewing angle and others that say it is good. Was there some change made or is it hit or miss?

Overall, the chances of you getting a good screen is 75%. This is just a guess, but it's accurate.

The screen is awesome. For me, no light leakage, acceptable viewing angles, good brightness, usable lowest setting, vibrant colors, and dark blacks and bright whites.

The viewing angle is nothing spectacular, but it is acceptable.

That's really my only complaint. Other than that, the screen is crisp and clear with no light leakage and stuff.

you really can't expect a 12.1" screen to have great viewing angles.

Why not? My friend has a Sony Vaio TX, which is like an 11" LCD, and that has a really good viewing angle.

well i guess I've never seen a screen with great viewing angles on an ultraportable.

what is the point of having great viewing angles on an ultraportable? Just wondering why people care so much about it when you're talking about a 12.1" screen.

You don't even need to take a Sony TX for comparison... most who have used a Dell Inspiron 700m will tell you that it is possible to have great viewing angles & almost no light leakage on a 12.1" screen....

my m1210 has the Toshiba LCD and it is horrible. The colors look washed out and viewing angle is very limited. My first m1210 had the Samsung screen which was flawless, however it was replaced due to constant lockups.

I can't stand the Toshiba screen as it is not pleasurable to use the laptop.

    too bad.
