Aero + XPS1210 = Diminished battery life over XP or non Aero?
Just curious, as Vista uses the video buffer to render its windows now, will this cause the laptop to drain faster and heat up more quickly?

Yes, you will see diminished battery life when Vista is compared against XP. This is regardless of Aero or not, and I am assuming normal performance settings. I am sure that you 'could' get Vista w/o Aero to be similar to XP, but only after a lot of tweaking.

Wow, so no real extra draw (.6%) at all. That's really good to know
