Default NEED HELP, Studio XPS 16 Screen I think went bad

I’ve had the laptop for at least 2 years and never had any problems out of it. I was keeping the laptop in my backpack coming back from a weekend trip like I have always had when I travel. I got home went to turn it on to check a few forum replies and wham nothing on the screen. The laptop did however come on, but the screen stayed blank.

This had happened to me 1 or 2 other times. But it was fixed by turning it off and back on if I recall correctly.

I hooked an HDMI cable up to the laptop to the TV and the computer works fine. So it appears to be either the screen or the screen connecting cables.

I've read someone had problems out of the cables coming disconnected or something and took apart the screen far enough to check all them and got them plugged in and working w/o buying a new screen.

    SO my questions are,

    1) If I have to get a new screen, where does one buy a reputable screen from (I’ve never bought actual computer parts besides RAM)
    2) Is there an actual guide for the XPS Studio M1530 to swap screens as this problem seems to be quite a common problem.
    3) The screen cables that could have came disconnected, are they behind the screen cause I’ve already taken apart the computer quite a bit besides the screen and all cables coming from the screen are correctly attached.

    Thanks for all your help

    Josh

I totally screwed up that model number.. It's a Dell XPS Studio 16 NOT a 1530. I was reading some 1530 screen troubles and that number was just in my mind..
