Yup, but pretty much no one implements it on the hardware side. Meaning you can't actually use it...
    Laptop: XPS l702x | i7-2720QM | Nvidia 555m + Intel HD 3000 (Optimus) | 8GB 1333MHz (Corsair) | 1080p AG (no-3D) | Intel 6230 WiFi | Crucial M4 256GB SSD | Seagate 500GB 7200RPM | Backlit KB | 9-cell Battery | Blu-Ray Reader/DVD+CD Burner

    Desktop: Q9550 @3.4GHz | GA-X48-DS5 | 8GB DDR2 1066 (Crucial) | Gigabyte 560TI @ 900/1800/4000 | 2x 22" 1680x1050 | Vertex 2 240GB SSD | 2x WD Black 1TB (RAID 1) | Antec 300 Case | Antec TP3-650W PSU
    Still an awesome system!

They actually are. Clevo is using Optimus for a lot of their 600 series laptops, which they historically haven't done, so I'd say your chances are pretty good.

Odds are, the XPS 17 will be getting a 650M at most. The M17x ships by default with a 660M, and usually the XPS' highest level card is one below this, so it makes sense. I just hope it keeps the matte screen and good speakers and doesn't go the Macbook route...
    i5 3570K @ 4.6GHz | ASRock Z77 Extreme4 | 16GB Corsair Vengeance | GTX 670
    Enermax Platimax 600W | Auzentech X-Fi Forte | QPad MK-80 | Performance MX | Z906 5.1 THX
    Dell U2412M | 128GB Samsung 830 | Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB (Apps/Games) | Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
    Phobya Nova 1080 | Swiftech MCP-655 | XSPC Raystorm | XSPC 670GTX | Scythe GT AP-12 | 3DMark 11 : P9897

I wouldn't mind a mac like design, if the mac had a windows version, I probably would have gotten that by now. I am not an apple fan, but I really like their design.

Both the GT650m GDDR5 and GTX660m GDDR5 are going to consume exactly the same amount of power in low-load situations. The branding just doesn't make sense..
The GTX 660m chips are binned better than the GT 650m and GT 640m chips. Though they share the same GK107 core, the GTX 660m should achieve higher clocks GT 650m, which justifies the GTX branding as an "enthusiast" chip. The difference between the GTX 660m and GT 650m probably won't be all that significant, though.

    Those are rumors

HP has released DV6/DV7 with Ivy Bridge & new GPU's. So, Dell should not take too long from now.

    Here is HP link.
