Good, I don't think I can wait that long and I'm not sure I can deal with W8 either.
Hmm, not sure what to make of that, but I will assume the best.

Well, not "soon" but coming nonetheless.
My interest in the XPS is purely academic. I'm waiting for Windows 8.

Any way to know what bios I'm running without a reboot. Sorry I'm not that tech savy.

Also what's the best procedure for getting trackpad to run at its best. I've read this whole thread, but still not sure. I'm not looking for fancy; just good 2 finger scrolling. It seems pretty intermittent. It seems to not work until webpage is fully loaded. Is that normal?

BIOS can be found in sysinfo - start button - search box type sys - top choice is system information - about 10th line down is Bios version/date

I deleted it with a fresh install - didn't try to just delete it on its own.

Can also just type "msinfo32" into the start/search box and hit enter. I think it's the same screen referred to above, but a different way to get there.

Thanks. I'm on A06. I guess it doesn't get more advanced than that.

Hey there, new to the forum, just got my xps 13 and loving it UNTIL: Some kind of weird display issue going on, pink vertical line all the way down the right hand side of the screen. Have tried running diagnostics in BIOS and its appears on every screen. Anyone got any info on this, similar issues, or miraculous cures?
    Cheers

You can disable the bluetooth device from the standard device manager.
