Why are we clearly not talking about the xps13 or its possible predecessor... There are already plenty of threads about the xps15/Insp14z

I didn't mean to be a moderator or anything... I just think that your conversation will be much better off in the appropriate thread. There are up do date posts about possible upcoming configurations and I'm sure the speculation thread would love new posters

edit: I just looked for myself and in the XPS15 thread there is a leak of the new xps14 and xps15... xps14 looks like it could be a xps13 replacement

Haven't been following this thread for quite some time. What is the skuttlebut on a refresh of the XPS 13? I'm sure there will be an IB refresh but any word on an improved display?

900p and IB planned for October/November apparently. Presumably to tie in with Windows 8.

Hopefully with 8GB as standard with scope to upgrade to 16GB too - then it'll be one kick a$$ Ultrabook.

The XPS 14 & 15 are replacements for their current namesakes.

Reason I ask about router firmware is often- especially with Intel- the card will have some new, whiz-bang feature that the router vendor has to develop firmware to be specifically compatible with. Your older Intel or non-Intel card may work just fine with the current (old) router firmware, but the new card sometimes will not. This is why I lament the inexperienced phone tech that does not include "update router firmware" in his/her WiFi troubleshooting routine.

OT: This may be of interest to the Linux fans who own XPS 13s.
