Default XPS 15 two finger scrolling is crap!

It seems to take ages to recognize I have placed two fingers on the track pad..and then scrolling only seems to work 50% of the time.
    Am I missing something here?
All drivers should come pre-installed yes?
The only think Ive done since turning this machine on is flash the bios - per instructions leaflet from dell (think I just flashed it with the same bios that was already there).

You probably just need to adjust your touchpad sensitivity in the Synaptics software. I've got my touchpad settings good enough to where I only use a mouse for gaming now.

Na, it does suck. If you've ever touched an Apple glass trackpad then nothing (short of Emma Watson's back) will ever be smooth again. The Dell trackpads are good, for a PC. But they are nowhere near as good as Apple. That's the "you get what you pay for" thing. :\

Dell's multitouch is not very good. It picks up ghost touches, and also ignores actual touches. Trying to move my mouse around and accidentally zooming in or out got so irritating that I disabled the zoom gesture.

I've found that I have to put my two fingers more than an inch apart and up at the very top middle of the trackpad before I scroll down in order to get it to work properly. Also, if you do it a lot on the same page very quickly, sometimes it won't recognize very well. I usually just click once off to the side of the main div on the page and then it will pick up scrolls better again.

I really dislike the two finger scroll as well. I opted to download the latest generic drivers from the synaptics website:

    Drivers | Synaptics

Chiral scrolling works great and reminds me of scroll wheel ipods.

I agree. This trackpad is a complete piece of sh*t. I have a 5-year old EEE 901 that I bought for ~$400 new, and the pad on that is miles ahead; it's not just that Apple tech is good. This pad is disgracefully bad.
