    I have Alan Wake.Also, I have 8700m GT SLI.The SLI works fine but I don't get much better performance.However SLI works much better with 8800m GTX.So you have a better chance Game is fine by the way.

    All benchmarks are done with single card as I don't like SLI at all.It gives unstable fps
    Ended the game.It's smooth @low and lags at some points for few sceonds only
    Ok- thanks. So a single 8800 should at least double those results, and that's enough to me. If anyone has Risen 2 I would be grateful for the information.
    And I'm waiting for the info how T8300 OC cpu affects in the games

    Are you sure I can overclock it to 2.6Ghz? Because the multiplier seems to be locked

    Increased the multiplier to 13x200Mhz/Reboot/Started the TS(ThrottleStop) again/Windows crashed with a blue screen "Dumping Physical Memory"/Reboot/Everything fine and started the TS again/Same Blue screen crash/Reboot/Deleted the TS/Everything fine Kinda impossible to overclock T8300 :/

    Just a quick question. I have a M1730 with X9000, 88M SLI. I was having issues with charing the laptop. They tried to fix it multiple times and offered me a replacement. They offered me two laptops but both looks downgrade. What do you suggest?

    If your CPU is crashing when you are using the 13 multiplier it is probably because you don't have the voltage set high enough. Start with the maximum voltage before clicking on the Turn On button. Delete the ThrottleStop.ini file if you have accidentally saved some unstable values before starting ThrottleStop.

    thanks heaps Uncle an for help break 18k on me Beast

    @spradhan01
    you had sli > so both single gpu options considered downgrades, if me would tell them not happy with both options and try negotiate firmly say for CrossfireX 5870 and 1920x1200 display on a M17X and a better cpu

    Really need to be compensated for all the troubles ya had with m1730 so deserve better. keep try nego for a better option

    also if had 7200rpm HD on M1730 then 7200rpm on M17X instead of 5400
    GoodLuck,

    M17xR2 is good but there should be a better CPU.Also, you should ask for a 1080p or 1200p LCD.Other than that a single HD 5870 is good enough to beat 9800M GTX SLI

    @unclewebb
    Thanks for quick answer.Wasn't expecting you here in no time .Now everything is fine.I have Throttlestop 4.0.I changed the multiplier to 13 and disabled SLMF and saw that the processor was running with running with unstable multiplier between 12 to 12.54.It was changing all the time in TS/Reboot/Opened CPU-Z the multiplier was 12.5 for some seconds and then 13 and then again 12.5/opened TS/the multiplier was 12-12.54 changing continuously/Started the TS Bench/Selected 2 threads and 32M/Bench started and now the multiplier was constant 12/Bench stopped/The multiplier is again between 12-12.54 changing continously :O?? Well, I'll try to do some more tests.Actually never overclocked CPU

    hikkoo
    Actually, it's locked

    I got pm insisting to ask for dual gpus. Also, Dell keeps on talking nonsense that I have 8800M GTX SLI with 1 GB and 555M is 3GB so it is 3X faster than 88M SLI. Also they say that 740QM is quadcore and my X9000 is dual core.

    Actually, the video memory doesn't represent the power of the graphic card.There are many other factors.A single HD 5870 can beat 8800m/9800m GTX SLI.However, GT 555M can't do so in every game.As for CPU the 740QM is low-end CPU with lower frequency.
