What does FHD mean on the on xps17 display?
Hello was just wondering what does FHD mean...
Here is an example. 17.3" FHD (1080p) with 2.0MP HD Webcam
Is this screen the same quality as the 3D version? Not interested in the 3d version.HP HDX16t = Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.80 GHz) + 3GB DDR2 + 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
16.0" High Definition HP Ultra BrightView Infinity (1920x1080) + 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive + Intel WiFi Link 5100
LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW + Vista Home Premium SP1 (32-bit)

Dell - Help Me Choose: Display
It's a higher resolution display (1920x1080) than the HD+ display (1600x900)
It's not the same as the 3D panel though, but it is brighter than the HD+, has wider viewing angles than the HD+, has a wider color gamut than the HD+, and apparently is an antiglare screen.Dell Precision M4400 - QX9200 | 15.4" 1920x1200 RGBLED | Quadro 770M | 4GB | 500GB | 7 Pro

Full High Definition (1920x1080)
As opposed to 1280x720 which is still high definition, but not "full" high definition- and also not 1600x900, which is somewhere in between.

Re: What does FHD mean on the on xps17 display?
Unfortunately, it's a glossy screen and not anti glare. I talked to 2 sale reps and a Dell guy on the community forum that stated the high def, non 3d screen was glossy. I informed them about the error on their website. Apparently, they haven't corrected it yet. I'm still hoping they offer an anti glare screen option like they are doing in Australia.

I don't really know anything in particular about the screen differences, I was just answering the question
